Chris Larson

Music Director, Organist, and Choir Director

Chris Larson is proud to be VFUMC's organist and director of music and to direct the Vermillion Social Justice Choir, which also meets here at VFUMC. He is currently a professor of musical theatre at the University of South Dakota's Department of Theatre where he teaches voice lessons, does coach accompanying, and provides music direction for stage productions. He holds degrees from USD including a Bachelor of Music Education and Masters Degrees in Choral Conducting and Collaborative Piano. Chris also is the Principal Organist at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, teaches private piano, organ, voice, sax, and clarinet lessons here in Vermillion, and serves as the sub dean for the SD chapter of the American Guild of Organists. In the summers, he enjoys directing and accompanying the SD Girls State Chorus and organizing as a founding board member for Vermillion Pride. In his free time, he freelances as a pianist, vocalist, reeds player, clinician, and judge for regional music events, and composes for various groups including the SD Girls State chorus and the SD Shakespeare Festival. He enjoys taking care of many plants and spending time with his cat, Roxy.


Talitha Greaver

Office Administrator

Talitha Greaver is the administrator at VFUMC. Originally from Yankton, SD, she's in Vermillion to get her PhD in English at USD, where she teaches Composition courses. She cares for a mischievous cat named Cellar Door.
